This version of “What Child is This?” mesmerized me a few years ago and I found the music and had to play it. Getting all the right recording equipment and the time to do something with it was an even BIGGER challenge, and let me tell you, I am frustrated at it. For instance, this video is Take 2. On Take 1, I squeaked and cut the video short. After Take 2, I probably did another 4 or 5 takes and number 5 being by far the best performance. Well, after take 2, I went and listened to it to check the level and after that all the subsequent takes had NO SOUND! Yes, I must have not plugged the microphone cable in completely after that listen. So, with limited time I’m sending out Take 2. Remember this, some of your best performances in the WORLD will be in the practice room with no one listening.

Back to this newsletter, please give me a little feedback. I am considering making an articulation drill video series. So my question to you is this, are you happy with your articulation speed? Do you think a play-along articulation series would help you?
