The reed can make a big difference in your tone quality as well. Try to work your way up to a Vandoren 3 1/2. This higher reed strength will help support the extreme high and low notes with a good sound.

You can also try using more mouthpiece in your mouthpiece for high and low notes with more top teeth pressure.
